Review by hotel critic
My recent stay at Parkhotel Du Sauvage in Meiringen was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff's hospitality shone through as they kindly offered us a room upgrade, allowing us to handpick the perfect accommodation for our family. The vintage decor throughout the hotel evoked a sense of nostalgia, creating a charming and cozy atmosphere that we adored. The breakfast experience was a highlight, with a rich selection that included the best coffee I've had in Switzerland and delightful local cheeses. The attention to detail was evident in the welcome box for our son, filled with coloring books and pencils, a thoughtful gesture that made our stay even more memorable. The convenient proximity to various dining options, such as Victoria Restaurant and Tea Room Frutal, enriched our culinary exploration of Meiringen. The spacious room offered breathtaking views of the surrounding valley, complete with cows grazing and distant waterfalls-a picturesque scene that truly encapsulated the essence of the Swiss Alps. As an outdoor adventure enthusiast, the easy access to hiking trails and nearby attractions made Parkhotel Du Sauvage an ideal base for our Alpine explorations. Our stay surpassed all expectations, and we are already planning our return to this remarkable hotel.
